Working on redesign

The redesign of the website is going very, very well. With the help of some very talented designers including Kyle Schmitt, Greg Kammer, and William Frankhouser, and with the opinion of many other important people, I think we have the start of a winning design.

Many may initially surprised by the cost of their website. Many assume that because we use open source technologies, which are free in terms of cost, that websites that use these technologies should cost next to nothing. This simply isn't the case.

It is common to underestimate the amount of work that goes into first designing a website, integrating a design, configuring the software, and then customizing to taste. What does the use of an open source CMS such as Drupal offer then? It offers more functionality "out of the box" than a custom built solution, and the ability to customize and add to the website for a very, very low cost. It gives value, more functionality for less money.

I am not nearly complete with this, and it may never be complete, but I think it reflects Value Web Development quite well. If you have any suggestions, please let us know.
